Experienced Buncher Operator

The Opportunity
K&D Logging, a Meraki Resources Company, is currently looking for an experienced Buncher Operator. As a Buncher operator, you will have the knowledge and will comply with all safe operating procedures. This is primarily field-based position with limited paper work and camp stay and overtime hours may be required.
Role and Responsibilities
As an experienced Buncher Operator you will:
- Maintain machines
- Ensure machine has enough fuel to complete job
- Always be aware of your surroundings
- Stay updated on the latest in safety training
- Clean up landing areas at logging sites
- Assist other logging and forestry workers
- Complete daily time cards.
Our ‘Must Haves’ that make you great
To be successful in this role, you will have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
- A minimum 2 years’ experience as a Buncher Operator in a high volume and demanding environment
- A valid Class 5 Driver’s license (or provincial equivalent to)
- Must be able to work in a camp environment with flexibility in shift work
- A valid OFA Level 3 First Aid Certificate is an asset
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to travel and work in an outdoor environment in remote locations
- Able to work cooperatively in a team, but also independently with little supervision
- Physically fit to endure the rigors of full-time fieldwork in all conditions
- Safe work mindset is required
- Accountable and dependable
